Autodesk – Sales Data AnalyticsHigh Tech | Sales Analytics | Global Distribution
Situation
Autodesk wanted to transform how it motivated its global distributor network. The existing tiered structure — where top performers earned fixed benefits based on sales ranking — wasn’t driving the right behaviors. Autodesk needed to move to a performance-based incentive model that rewarded specific sales behaviors across U.S. and European markets.
To do that they needed the analytics infrastructure to track, measure, and report on distributor performance at scale.
What We Built
NexDimension served as Lead Data Warehouse Architect, leading an eight-person team through the full lifecycle of the analytics platform. The solution integrated order and inventory data from Autodesk’s worldwide distributor network, direct and indirect resellers, and retail partners — pulling from SAP and the corporate data warehouse into purpose-built data marts.
Two enterprise data marts were designed and delivered — covering system architecture, logical data models, ETL specifications, and mappings supporting global order, inventory, and incentive analytics. Requirements sessions were facilitated across U.S. and European business units to define KPIs for the new incentive program.
