First Republic BankFinance | Wealth Management | Enterprise Data
Situation
First Republic Bank was the fastest-growing financial institution in its class — and its Wealth Management division was outpacing its own data infrastructure. Two years after launching its enterprise data warehouse, the division was still operating in silos. Client data was delayed, often entered manually, and fragmented across trading, portfolio management, and client servicing systems. Account managers lacked a unified view of customer assets — especially assets held away — making it difficult to deliver the high-touch service the bank was known for. With 14 active data projects running in parallel and no coordinating architecture, execution was inconsistent and executive reporting was unreliable.
What We Built
NexDimension stepped in to lead cross-functional coordination across 12 active projects while simultaneously redesigning the EDW dimensional model from the ground up. We unified data from trading, portfolio management, and client servicing into a single, governed architecture — filling visibility gaps and enabling cleaner access to both in-house and externally held client assets.
We partnered with business analysts to redesign customer dimensions and enhance client profile analytics, giving advisors the intelligence to better align strategies to each client’s goals. In parallel, we established the bank’s BI practice from the ground up — structuring Tableau environments, organizing report domains, and mentoring internal developers to ensure long-term self-sufficiency.
